Terms & Conditions for Abhyax

Welcome to Abhyax! These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Abhyax mobile application (the "App"), provided by Abhyax ("we", "our", or "us").

By downloading, installing, or using Abhyax, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Account Registration & Security

  • Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use Abhyax.
  • Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.

2. Use of the App & Focus Lock Feature

  • License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Abhyax for your personal, non-commercial educational use.
  • App Lock Permissions: The App includes a focus feature that blocks selected applications during study sessions. You acknowledge that enabling this feature requires granting operating system permissions (such as Usage Access or Accessibility Services). You use this feature voluntarily to assist with focus and study discipline.
  • Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to:
    • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the App.
    • Use the App for any illegal, unauthorized, or abusive purpose.
    • Upload content that infringes upon third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.

3. User Content & Curated Decks

  • Ownership: You retain ownership of any custom flashcards, decks, or notes you create or import into Abhyax.
  • Shared Content: If you choose to share a custom deck publicly on Abhyax, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content to other users within the App platform.
  • Curated Decks: All curated decks, design elements, graphics, software code, and trademarks provided by Abhyax are the intellectual property of Abhyax and its licensors.

4. Subscription & Purchases (If Applicable)

  • Free & Pro Tiers: Abhyax offers free features as well as optional premium subscriptions or in-app purchases ("Abhyax Pro").
  • Payments: In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed securely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store under their respective payment terms.
  • Cancellations: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play Account settings.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Abhyax at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in unauthorized use of the App.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Abhyax is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be completely error-free, uninterrupted, or that study using Abhyax will guarantee specific exam outcomes.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Abhyax shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to or inability to access or use the App.

8. Governing Law & Changes to Terms

  • Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
  • Modifications: We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
